(2 August 2013) The Education Bureau today launched the second phase of the eTextbook Market Development Scheme. The second phase has taken the recommendations of the Steering Committee on Selection, Quality Assurance & Review of e-Textbook Market Development Scheme and the positive feedback received from stakeholders. The phase will cover more subjects, especially science, Chinese history and computer literacy. It will also cover some subjects at Key Stage 4, including English language, history, geography, physics, biology and chemistry. Non-profit-making organisations can apply for a seeding grant which will be provided on a 50:50 matching basis, subject to a cap of HKD4 million per eTextbook set or 50 percent of the development cost of the eTextbook set concerned, whichever is less.
