The Charleston Conference—a leading forum for librarians, publishers, and vendors—announces a new event, Charleston Conference Asia, taking place January 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.
(14 Oct 2024) Nonprofit organization Annual Reviews is pleased to announce the inaugural Charleston Conference Asia. This three-day gathering will bring together librarians, publishers, and vendors to discuss regional and global challenges and opportunities. It will take place at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel, Bangkok Thailand, January 26-28, 2026.
Key topics to be explored during the event include:
- Generative AI: Examining both the promising potential and the concerns it raises for libraries and scholarly publishing.
- Equity: Developing strategies to ensure research from all regions is equally recognized and valued, while making learning opportunities accessible to everyone.
- Sustainable Development Goals: Advancing regional and global efforts to leverage academic knowledge in support of the UN’s SDGs.
