(11 August 2014) The Australian government is seeking to amend its copyright act to address online copyright infringement. To that purpose, a discussion paper has been issued for public input until 1 September.
The Online Copyright Infringement Discussion Paper released in July, makes a number of proposals to amend the Australian Copyright Act of 1968. Internet service providers (ISPs) say they welcome the discussion paper, but remain wary.
