(19 Aug 2026) The American Society for Microbiology (ASM) and BIO Ventures for Global Health (BVGH) have announced the launch of a 10‑session digital lecture series on scientific writing. The program is designed to support scientists worldwide, with an initial focus on preparing peer‑reviewed manuscripts. It aims to address gaps in professional development, particularly for researchers in low‑resource settings, where opportunities to strengthen general skills such as manuscript preparation remain limited.
The series will cover topics including journal selection and publication processes, strategies for writing manuscript sections such as introductions, methods, and results, development of figures and tables, authorship and ethical considerations, and the use of artificial intelligence in scientific writing. Each session will last 90 minutes and include a question‑and‑answer segment.
