(2 September 2015) TK Park president Sirikorn Maneerin said it took three years to complete the project and the library was now ready. “The trend is moving towards digital libraries, and we see lots of leading bookstores closing down,” she noted.
The pilot project was launched five years ago, with TK Park introducing a 2eBook service for members. Now it offers content via four databases: namely the TK Online Library, 2eBook, Overdrive and Press Reader, making it the largest online library in Thailand. Apart from Thai content, the library also offers material in English thanks to a partnership with Overdrive. The library contains some 1,700 books in English.
