(31 August 2105, Bogor) The wood library, named Xylarium Bogoriense, was established by Dutch colonials in 1914. The collection has 34,301 wood specimens which consist of 110 tribes (families), 675 genera (genus), and 3,667 species.
There are five main functions of the wood library including supporting research on the anatomical features of woody plant taxonomy; and as reference material for identification of unknown wood samples.
