(30 September 2014) If you’re in Bangkok on Friday, 17 October Beyond Access invites you to “App Discovery Day” at TK Park from 2-4pm.
Beyond Access is a program implemented by IREX that helps countries modernize their public library systems.
We’re gathering a group of people together to explore how tablets can be used in public libraries to support literacy efforts. Please join in for a fun afternoon of educational play – we will:
- Take a look at educational apps
- Talk about tablet functions and how they might be best applied in a public access setting; and
- Test out some apps, then discuss how librarians might use and share them.
Our main focus will be on apps for younger children (ages 3-8), particularly those that could be used alongside parents and other children.
This will be an informal, interactive event where we’ll all play with new technology together. It will take place at TK Park at Central World.
Please RSVP to Ari Katz at [email protected].
