(15 Jul 2026) Annual Reviews (AR), the nonprofit organization dedicated to synthesizing and integrating knowledge for the progress of science and the benefit of society, today announced the acquisition of Underline Science (Underline), expanding its ability to support scholarly societies and conference organizers worldwide.
The addition of this event platform and expertise builds on AR’s decades of service to scholarly communities. In addition to publishing 51 journals across the biomedical, life, physical, and social sciences, AR brings people together through meetings including the Charleston Conference and Charleston Conference Asia, and reaches broader audiences through Knowable Magazine, Katina Magazine, and Knowledge Unlatched.
By combining conference capabilities with longstanding engagement across research communities, Annual Reviews can help organizations strengthen engagement with their stakeholders, reach new audiences, and extend the impact of their meetings.
The enhanced services support virtual, hybrid, and in-person events and include an award-winning event application, preservation of conference video materials, ticketing, attendee and speaker management, onsite audiovisual services, and global event coordination. Organizers can draw on these capabilities in ways that reflect their own goals, values, and communities.
