(26 Feb 2026) The Annual Meeting and Conference of the Southeast Asia Library Group (SEALG) will take place at the ETH Zurich, Switzerland, on 19 – 20 June 2026. There will also be a guided tour in the late afternoon on 18 June 2026 of the Southeast Asian collection at ETH Zurich. Stephanie Willi, archivist of the ETH University Archives will host the meeting.
In preparation of the Annual Meeting and Conference – which will take place in hybrid form enabling online attendance – SEALG invites paper proposals by library and archive staff as well as from scholars and graduate students.
Proposed themes:
- Collections, archives, and library work in the field of Southeast Asian Studies
- Recent developments in collections, archives, and libraries
- Acquisition, storage, and access of born digital material
- Contested heritage, providing access to heritage communities
- Decolonization debates related to collections, archives and libraries
A paper presentation should not exceed 30 minutes (including time for questions / discussion). Paper abstracts should be no more than 200 words and must include a title, author’s name and affiliation, as well as contact details.

Publication of a paper will be possible in the SEALG Newsletter which is available online at https://sealg.hypotheses.org/newsletter or as a SEALG blog post.
