(5 Mar 2025) CCC will introduce a new AI Systems Training License later this year, enabling AI system providers and organizations developing AI-powered applications to use lawfully acquired copyrighted works as inputs for training models and generating external-facing outputs.
Designed as a complement to direct licensing agreements or as a standalone solution, the license simplifies how organizations obtain consistent rights across a broad range of publishing sectors, including science, technology, medicine, business, news, and media.
CCC recently expanded its AI-related licensing offerings, adding AI rights for internal corporate use to its Annual Copyright License (ACL). This enterprise-wide solution provides businesses with a streamlined way to obtain permissions for using copyrighted materials in AI systems, ensuring harmonized internal-use rights from a wide array of rightsholders.
