(12 August 2013) With the launch of Lantern, the Media History Digital Library is now searchable. The MHDL’s searchable collections include many primary sources such as The Film Daily, Radio Digest, Talking Machine World and now, those portions of Variety in the public domain. Access Lantern here.
In addition to searching Lantern, try the homepage’s interactive magazine gallery. You may visually sort the collections by genre, page count, circulation, and the number of academic citations. The covers link to holdings of the magazine.
