(22 Aug 2023) Scopus has released the 2023 United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on the Scopus Document details page.
SDGs are specific research areas that challenge the global community to build a world where no one is left behind. Elsevier data science teams have built extensive keyword queries, supplemented with machine learning, to map documents to SDGs with very high precision.
The most notable update to the 2023 SDG classification is the inclusion of SDG17, “Partnerships for the goals.” The 2023 SDGs use the same search query and machine learning algorithm as the Elsevier 2022 SDG mappings, with minor modifications to five SDGs, namely SDG 1, 4, 5, 7 and 14. Full details about the methodology, queries, and dataset are available on digital commons.
