The primary focus of the Information Literacy Librarian is to enhance students’ information literacy skills and to contribute to the development of information services across the Library. This is achieved through the design and delivery of embedded workshops and online learning resources, as well as one-on-one consultations to respond to information research enquiries using online and face-to-face delivery methods.
Information Literacy Librarians work in inter-disciplinary teams that include Academic Skills Advisors to deliver accessible study skills resources for students at RMIT. The librarian is responsible for leading learning change in how students engage with and use information literacy resources in their learning. This involves developing, implementing, and evaluating discipline-based projects, as well as developing students’ information literacy skills through various resources and services.
Previous experience in providing embedded workshops and online learning resources for students in Law disciplines is highly desirable for this role, however you will be involved in delivering programs and services across the colleges.
