80,000 books published to 1870 available online in new web service from the KB

(The Hague, 3 April 2013) Today, the Royal Library, National Library of the Netherlands (KB) and Google Netherlands present the first results of the collaborative project in which they digitize 160,000 books from the KB-collection and present online through the KB web service boeken.kb nl .  The web service searches 80,000 books free of charge.

The collection includes historical, legal and social Dutch publications from the 18th and 19th century of interest to scientists and researchers.
