(20 February 2017) A new academic study shows that piracy can have a positive effect on comic book sales under some conditions. TorrentFreak has the story in full and a link to the full paper The Effects of Internet Book Piracy: The Case of Japanese Comics. The study is by Professor Tatsuo Tanaka of the Faculty of Economics at Keio University.
