(9 November 2016) From 26 October to 27 October, 2016 Chinese Library Annual Conference was held in Tongling, Anhui Province. Many leaders attended the opening ceremony, including Yu Qun, a member of the Ministerial CPC Committee of the Ministry of Culture, minister assistant of the
Ministry of Culture, and director of Department of General Affairs.
More than 3,000 librarians of libraries at various levels, scholars and experts, principals of related departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Culture travelled to the conference whose theme was Innovation in China: Technology, Society and Library.
The annual conference had five features. First, it presented the deeds of excellent librarians. Second, it highlighted the theme of innovation. Third, it promoted fusion development of librarianship and other related industries. Fourth, it highlighted culture benefits the masses”. Finally, it strengthened foreign exchanges.
