(4 July 2016) bibliotheca A/S, a joint venture between bibliotheca Group and Axiell Group, has acquired one of Europe’s leading open library solutions, the Danish company Cordura A/S. This acquisition further strengthens the library offering of the Group and adds significant experience and value to the global R&D team.
Cordura A/S have a diverse range of solutions that have found application within the libraries and museums sectors. Their focus is on delivering an outstanding user experience via the use of technology, whether that be touch-screen kiosks, handheld apps digital signs or their innovative open library solution. Open library was the first 24/7 library system to ever be deployed and created the market for this new and novel product set across Europe and beyond.
