(28 January 2016, Rochester, N.Y) VisualDx, the leading clinical decision support system to help doctors and nurses accurately diagnose and treat diseases at the point of care is once again ranked #1 by healthcare professionals. The Best in KLAS Report released today, rated VisualDx as 2015/2016 Best in KLAS Software and Services as the Category Leader for Clinical Decision Support: Point of Care Clinical Reference.
This marks the fifth consecutive year VisualDx has been honored in the Best of KLAS Report, one of the most recognized and highly coveted honors for medical software and services. Thousands of healthcare professionals are surveyed each year to determine the Best in KLAS awards.
“Five straight years is an impressive amount of time for our clients to continue to have confidence in VisualDx,” said Art Papier, MD, chief executive officer, VisualDx. “We are humbled to hear yet again that doctors and nurses hold us in such high esteem. VisualDx is unlike any other clinical decision support tool and we are honored to accept this award.”
“As healthcare continues to evolve, it is imperative that we seek innovation and constantly address the needs of a shifting market. The Best in KLAS and Category Leader winners are the ones making the greatest strides within their market segments. I congratulate each of you for your award,” said Adam Gale, CEO and president of KLAS. “KLAS is honored to work with talented healthcare providers who willingly share their experiences with us and make the Best in KLAS report possible. We also commend all the vendors who strive to improve their products and services in order to provide the best possible healthcare. It truly is a joint effort.”
The VisualDx technology, available on a computer, tablet, or mobile phone, allows frontline clinicians to enter specific data about the patient’s condition and quickly build a unique differential diagnosis. Using the world’s best medical image library, VisualDx users can then work through the list of possible diagnoses to arrive at the best one, explain the process to the patient and decide on the right treatment. And thanks to integration into the electronic record, VisualDx is easy to use in the workflow.
VisualDx will be doubling its diagnoses and expanding its image library come March 1, when a new version of the product debuts – reaching across general medicine. Users will be able to build a differential based on a chief complaint, utilize Sympticons™ to visualize symptoms of disease, and tackle even more challenging cases.
