(17 Mar 2019) Cebu City Public Library, which struggled for its deteriorating condition of facilities and the availability of up-to-date books and research materials, was suggested to close down. However, the decision of 24-hour library hours with upgrades on air-conditioning units and additional security guards and library staff has made the number of visitors 5 times more than before.
