(26 February 2014) Publishers have withdrawn more than 120 gibberish papers from their websites. The papers were generated using SCIgen, software invented by researchers at MIT in 2005. Some of the gobbledygook papers were peer reviewed, several are conference papers. This worrying, amusing and flabbergasting article on the Nature website is well worth a read.
