14,000 items added to the National Diet Library digital collections

On12 March 2014 approximately 14,000 items were added to the National Diet Library Digital Collections.

• About 2,200 items from the Records of the U.S. Strategic Bombing Survey (USSBS)
  (available in “Materials on the Allied Occupation of Japan“)
• About 600 items from the Records of General Headquarters, Far East Command
  (available in “Materials on the Allied Occupation of Japan“)
• About 1,500 books in the fields of social science and humanities from the Prange Collection
  (available in “Prange Collection“)
• About 8,100 children’s books from the Prange Collection
  (available in “Prange Collection“)
• About 1,800 books
  (available in “Books“)

Almost all the 2,200 items from the Records of the U.S. Strategic Bombing Survey (USSBS) are available on the Internet. The others are available only within the facilities of the NDL.
