State Library of NSW hiring Manager, Indigenous Engagement

(25 May 2018) With a focus on consultation, engagement and partnership, this role facilitates the Library’s connections with Indigenous communities to ensure that the collections, policies and services of the Library are relevant to community needs.

Working with Indigenous communities this role helps the discovery, interpretation and management of cultural knowledge and history, as it is represented in the Library’s collections and exhibitions. It also provides leadership and advice on Indigenous collections and services to the Library and to a wide range of stakeholders across the cultural sector. This role supports welcoming and meaningful cultural spaces that provide effective services to members of the Indigenous community and foster understanding of Indigenous culture and experience for all members of the public.
